Acute leukemia and myelodysplasia referrals

Acute leukemia

There are many types and severities of acute leukemia. A clear diagnosis is central to planning treatment. The team works to deliver the best treatment choices. They will tailor these for your specific condition. We will discuss these treatment choices with you at each stage by your haematologist. The nature of your haematological condition is taken into account. Your other medical conditions are also considered. We will then decide on an individualised treatment plan.

You will need a referral from your GP or medical practitioner to access this service. In some instances, you may need an urgent referral for assessment. This is best handled by telephone between your doctor and the on-call registrar.

Myelodysplasia

You will need a referral from your GP or medical practitioner to access this service.
