Established in 2016, from the cancer clinical trials units of Peter Mac, Royal Melbourne and the Women’s. We are Australia's largest cancer clinical trials unit: 

  • Over 110 staff members and 70 investigators 
  • Over 180 open and recruiting and 190 active / follow-up trials 
  • Recruiting 550 patients yearly
  • 10 cancer stream teams specialising in haematology, solid cancers, theranostics and palliative care 
  • Specialised experience and expertise in first in human and complex clinical trials 
  • Dedicated treatment area and facilities 

Located in the Parkville Precinct, we deliver a Precinct service with premier results:

  • Intensive Care Unit  
  • Shared Electronic Medical Record 
  • Specialty clinics  
  • Translational expertise and leading edge laboratory service 

Dedicated clinical trial treatment area including: 

  • 15 high care treatment chairs 
  • 4 overnight night beds (24-hour telemetry capacity) 
  • Contained GMO injecting area 
  • Central pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics processing lab 
  • Electronic medical record, electronic investigator site file, providing offsite monitoring 

Working with PCCTU 

Our feasibility team is the main contact for all new potential trials.  

  • Confidential agreements are negotiated, we require a mutual template 
  • We don’t assess blinded information / non-awarded trials
