Cancer Nursing Development Pathway

The Cancer Nursing Development Pathway (CNDP) is an education and support pathway designed specifically for nurses newly transitioning into an acute cancer care setting. CNDP assists nurses in the development of core knowledge and skills that are required for the delivery of safe, evidence-based, clinical cancer care.

The Cancer Nursing Development Pathway (CNDP) is an education and training pathway specifically designed for nurses new to acute cancer care. The CNDP assists nurses to develop the core knowledge and skills required for the delivery of safe, evidence-based cancer care.

The CNDP provides nurses are who interested in pursuing a career in cancer nursing with a pathway at Peter Mac. As nursing roles are advertised that support Year 2 CNPPP nurses, nurses can apply directly to individual units where this pathway is available to support their transition into acute cancer care. The pathway runs for 12 months, which is typically the time required to develop foundational oncology nursing knowledge and skills for nurses with existing acute nursing experience.
