The Year 2 Cancer Nursing Professional Practice Program (CNPPP) is a 12‑month program designed to further support and develop all Year 2 nurses following completion of their graduate year at Peter Mac.
The Cancer Nursing Professional Practice Program provides nurses with structured support to continue developing their knowledge and skills across domains of nursing practice: clinical, leadership, education and research.
Participants continue their employment across all areas of our hospital and have access to a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) within the Year 2 CNPPP program. The program includes dedicated workshops that support nurses to develop foundational capabilities across clinical, leadership, education, research and digital domains that enable nurses to have the foundational skills and knowledge to continue to further explore their career pathway of choice in cancer nursing.
The program is open to all Year 2 nurses working in all units at Peter Mac, including inpatient units, ambulatory care units and the operating suite.
