Researchers are required to complete a Progress Report form for each project where they are named as the Principal Investigator at Peter Mac

Progress Report Governance submission requirements

If Peter Mac is not the reviewing Ethics Committee

  • The Sponsor or Principal Investigator (or delegate) should submit the Peter Mac Progress Report Form for the Peter Mac site. This report is required to be submitted if a project has been provided ethics approval from an external Ethics Committee and governance approval by Peter Mac. The progress report should provide an update on the status and progress of the study at Peter Mac.

If Peter Mac is the reviewing Ethics Committee

  • Single site study: This report is required to be submitted when a project has been provided ethics and governance approval to run at Peter Mac as a single site study. For details on submitting this report, please refer to the information provided on the ‘Progress reports: Peter Mac Ethics review’ webpage.
  • Multi-Site study where Peter Mac is a site: The Sponsor or Principal Investigator (or delegate) should submit the Peter Mac Progress Report Form. This report is required to be submitted when a project has been provided ethics and governance approval by Peter Mac. The progress report should provide an update on the status and progress of the study at Peter Mac.

Procedure for submitting your site progress report

  • The Principal Investigator will be sent a reminder with a link to the progress report prior to the due date. The due date is the anniversary month of Governance Authorisation.
  • Progress reports may be submitted via ERM (Ethics Review Manager) or via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Please include the Peter Mac project number and the term ‘Progress Report’ in the subject line of the email.
  • The progress report must be signed by the Sponsor or Principal Investigator (or delegate)
  • Failure to submit the report within 30 working days of the governance authorisation anniversary month may result in the revocation of governance authorisation by the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
