There are many hotels and apartments close to our Parkville campus. Peter Mac has negotiated preferential rates for our patients and their families in some of these venues. Patients are not obligated to book accommodation from the listing and can opt to book elsewhere. If, however patients utilise the listing please ensure they mention, when booking, that they are a Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre patient.
Our accommodation department can assist you with this task and make the reservations on your behalf, you will receive an email confirmation of the actions taken. If the bulk billing option is utilised and the criteria met the accommodation department will make those reservations and organise the VPTAS paperwork involved. Patients and family members are not permitted to make the reservation at bulk billed accommodation options.

- Weekend leave. If the patient travels home on the weekends and claim travel expenses or has flights booked for them, they will be charged the applicable rate for the room and number of people staying.
- These are not serviced apartments; there are laundry facilities in each building, and a small fee if purchasing laundry powder.
- The Hotel is NOT authorised to change / upgrade any rooms organised by Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre – Accommodation Team. Any such requests by the occupant/s direct to the Hotel will be refused.
- No meals are provided at this accommodation – all groceries and personal items must be supplied by occupant.
- If a carer/escort is required, the patient must bring a family member/carer with them – Scape cannot provide any medical personnel or personal assistance;
- If patients and or family members display inappropriate behaviour and conduct, Scape reserves the right to cease accommodation provision.
- Any property damage caused by the occupants is payable by the occupants.
- There is no smoking in the building, or in the rooms, if caught smoking you will be fined $200 on the spot and will face immediate eviction. There is a designated smoking area outside – be sure to familiarise yourself with this area.
- If the smoke detectors are disconnected and or covered, you will be fined $200 and be evicted.
