Dr Yael Mark obtained her medical degree in South Africa in 2006 and subsequently went on to undertake specialist training in radiation oncology. In 2016, she qualified as a fellow of the College of Radiation Oncology under the Colleges of Medicine South Africa.

Dr Yael then worked as a radiation oncologist in South Africa, treating a variety of cancer types including breast, prostate, skin and gastrointestinal cancers.

In 2019, she relocated to Melbourne and began working at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. She requalified as a radiation oncologist under the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology in 2021.

Dr Yael has a special interest in medical education and in skin cancer of all types and she currently works in the skin and Melanoma radiation oncology unit at Peter Mac.
