Biography

Katherine Audsley is a postdoctoral researcher in Associate Professor Paul Beavis’ laboratory, specialising in the field of cancer immunotherapy.

She completed her PhD at the University of Western Australia and The Kids Research Institute Australia in 2023 under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Jason Waithman. Her research was focused on engaging the host immune system to improve cancer immunotherapy strategies. In particular, she explored the role of type I interferons in promoting responses to cancer vaccination and checkpoint blockade. She also investigated Flt3L-driven anti-tumour responses for the discovery of novel therapeutic targets.

In 2024, she joined Paul Beavis’ laboratory, where she is exploring the use of mRNA therapies and CRISPR/Cas9 HDR technology to boost CAR-T cell therapy and other immunotherapy strategies.
