Dr Hyun Soo Ko
Biography
Associate Professor Ko is a German and Australian board-certified radiologist with over 20 years of international experience. Based in Melbourne at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Epworth Medical Imaging Freemasons, she is also affiliated with the University of Melbourne and the University of Bonn, Germany.
With specialised fellowships in breast imaging, imaging research, and paediatric radiology, her work focuses on translational medicine, artificial intelligence, and predictive imaging biomarkers.
Associate Professor Ko’s career spans globally recognised institutions on three continents including The German Cancer Research Center (dkfz), University Hospital Heidelberg, Germany, Mount Sinai Hospital, NYC, USA, The Hospital for Sick Children Toronto, Canada, Centre de Lutte Contre le Cancer, Montpellier, France, The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Australia and St. Vincent’s Breastscreen, Melbourne, Australia.
An active member of RANZCR's AI Advisory Committee and the German Roentgen Society, she has been awarded national and international grants and mentored multiple medical, biomedical and data scientist students.
